General Guidance

Stay at home if you or anyone in your household has either:

a high temperature - you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

a new, continuous cough - this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

a new loss or change to your sense of smell or taste - this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.

Visit the coronavirus NHS site for information and guidance.

Covid Restrictions from the 19th of July in Healthcare Settings

Covid restrictions will end in many settings in England from Monday 19th July.

However, Public Health England’s infection prevention control guidelines are set to remain in place for all staff and visitors within a healthcare setting such as GP practices, hospitals and dental practices.

When visiting Portugal Place Health Centre, please continue to wear a face covering and maintain social distance.

Accessing the GP Surgery

The doors to the surgery are open. Please follow the colour co-ordinated floor markings to access the pharmacy, reception desk or check in screen.

Please respect social distancing inside and outside the surgery and remain at least 2 metres apart from other people.

Only one person is allowed into the pharmacy waiting area at any one time.

Face Coverings

We require all patients attending appointments to wear a face covering when inside the building.

Spare face masks and face shields are available should you forgot to bring one.
