Covid Vaccinations (updated 25/03/2021)

Vaccination clinics are now back online and bookable for the beginning of April for anyone who has received an invitation. Further clinics will be added as we receive confirmation of additional vaccine supply.

We have now completed the process of sending invitations to all eligible patients in cohorts 1-9. If you have not received an invitation from us and you are in cohorts 1-9, please contact the surgery on 0191 2625252.

As and when we receive further deliveries of vaccine, more appointments will be made available. Appointments are held at the Langdale Centre in Howdon. For information on the vaccination programme and to view the priority group list please visit the NHS covid vaccination webpage.

If you have been invited to receive your COVID-19 vaccination at the Centre for Life you can still choose to have your vaccination locally in North Tyneside. You do not need to travel to Newcastle for your vaccination. You can wait until you receive an invite from us for a vaccination at the Langdale Centre.

FAQs and the latest vaccination information can be found on the TyneHealth website.

General Guidance

Stay at home if you or anyone in your household has either:

a high temperature - you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

a new, continuous cough - this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

a new loss or change to your sense of smell or taste - this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.

Visit the coronavirus NHS site for information and guidance.

Accessing the GP Surgery

The doors to the surgery are locked. This is to protect both you and the NHS workforce.

Please use the silver intercom by the door to speak to a receptionist. If you have a booked appointment you will be permitted to enter the surgery waiting room. If you have any other query, please use the intercom to speak to a receptionist.

Please respect social distancing outside the surgery and remain at least 2 metres apart from other people.

Accessing the Pharmacy

Please ring the white door bell and wait for a member of the pharmacy team.

Face Coverings

We require all patients attending appointments to wear a face covering when inside the building.
